空港のあるマクタンからセブ島南端のリロアンまで一般道を飛ばして３時間強。車を降りた瞬間に海辺の湿気と匂いに包まれました。「Ｍａｒｉｎｅ Ｖｉｌｌａｇｅ」は、ダイバーのために作られた素朴なリゾート。目の前に広がるハウスリーフにはバラエティ豊かな海洋生物が棲息し、バリカサグ、アポ、スミロンなど周辺の島へのツアーも楽しめる。16時からのハッピー・アワーを待ち構えて、海上にあるレストランで「サンミゲル」をぐいとやるのは至福のひと時だぁ。朝夜とセットされた食事は、ローカル料理でありながらすっかり日本人向け仕様になっていて、なかなかイケル。食べ過ぎ注意。付設のバーでカクテルなんかもいただけちゃいます。フィリピンのラム「タンドゥアイ」を舐めていると、３本のダイビングできっちり疲れているので、毎日21時22時にはパタリと寝ちまうんだ。で、早起きして海へ。どっぷりと浸れるダイビングリゾートは、やっぱり、いいね。リロアンでの海中スナップは、Ｍ’ｓ ｕｎｄｅｒｗａｔｅｒ ｓｎａｐｓｈｏｔ から。
