俗に稲荷通りふれあいロードと呼ぶ、 うらぶれた旗の台の商店街。 その中ほどにあるのが定食の店と謳う「ふじや」です。 暗がりを照らすスタンド看板の下半分は、ずっと蛍光灯が切れたまま。 家庭的な料理酒肴の並ぶ筆文字のお品書きを斜めに読んで、あれもいいけどこれもありだなぁ、と考えを巡らせながら硝子戸の上から覗き込む。 小体なお店に空席がありました。実はこの夜で三度目のお邪魔です。 ビール瓶を前にお皿を並べた、どこか疲れたオバサマを横目に「ぶり照焼定食」をいただいたのが、最初の日。 二度目は、ここのオヤジさんとも親しげに話すジモチー風オッチャンの脇で、 「豚肉スタミナ焼定食」。 そして今夜は、どこかの学生のふたり連れに先んじて注文した「鮭ちゃんちゃん焼定食」で。 これだけは食べる前に解説があって、「真ん中にバターがあるから、それを溶かすように、鮭の身を解すように、混ぜちゃってから食べて」ねと。 じわじわと鉄板に蒸し焼かれる野菜たちに鮭の身の塩っ気とバターの風味が折り重なって、素朴に和むご飯のおかず。残った鮭の皮がささやかなご褒美のようで（笑）、勿論麦酒にも合いそうだ。 じっと見ればみるほど、味のある表情の「ふじや」。 何気ないメニューが優しい定食のお店に今度お世話になる夜は、きっとちょっぴり呑んじゃうな。
