花見の酒肴なんぞを仕入れようと土曜日の築地へ。相変わらずの混雑ぶりを横目に、軽く朝飯をと「センリ軒」に寄り道です。「半熟入りシチュー」もいいなぁと思いながら、「ひれカツサンド」とコーヒーをお願いしました。トーストされたパンからカツの部分が抜け出ないように慎重かつ大胆に歯を入れると、「あれ？コロッケ？」というくらいに柔らかな肉の食感とソースに辛子の味わいが交差して、にんまり。なんだか急にゆったりとした幸せな朝になったぞ。そして、手掴みで食べるとみるや、手拭用にとティッシュを折ってお皿の下に差し込んでくれ、コーヒーを飲み干すころにはお茶を出してくれる。さらに「お水はいらない？」と訊いてくれたりもする。細かい気遣いが厭味なく施されるところが、「センリ軒」の真骨頂なのかもしれないね。「丸武」の厚焼玉子や「鳥藤」の各種鶏ロースト、「近江屋」の焼豚、そして「茂助だんご」のあんこあたりを携えて出掛けた、葛西臨海公園の桜 はすっかり満開でありました。 「センリ軒」　中央区築地５－２－１築地市場内 ８号棟　03-3541-2240
